Power Systems Design Group - Joint Trench Designer (In-Person, Walnut Creek, CA)

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Joint Trench Designer to join our dynamic team at Power Systems Design Group, California’s leading dry utility engineering and design firm. This in-person role is ideal for a professional passionate about designing critical infrastructure that supports major development projects in Northern California.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design comprehensive joint trench plans for dry utilities (electric, telecom, gas) using AutoCAD.
- Coordinate with utility companies and project stakeholders to secure design approvals.
- Manage multiple design projects ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, civil engineers, and drafters to integrate joint trench designs into site plans.
- Provide technical input during project meetings, support permitting processes, and respond to plan check comments.

Qualifications:
- 3+ years of utility design or civil drafting experience; joint trench design highly preferred.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD; Civil 3D experience is advantageous.
- Familiarity with PG&E and telecom utility standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field preferred; relevant certifications a plus.
- Strong communication and attention to detail.
- Local availability to work on-site in Walnut Creek, CA.
